22 Weeks: Gray Day, Gray Dress

g door

Yesterday I had one of those wonderfully long days with a good friend.  Equally filled with necessary errands, Michael’s for a scrap book and starter paper for the babe (yes, I think I’m going to have a crack at it and be one of those people) as it was with laughs, advice and of course, a little shopping.  We checked out children’s consignment shop, Kid to Kid just to see what was in store.  My friend scored a great spring jacket, a Janie & Jack dress, a skirt and a pair of funky tights from China with a bunny on the butt, and $20 even.  For those of you buying, they are having a huge winter clearance sale in two weeks, and for those selling, they are currently looking for spring/summer clothing.  Next up, a pit stop for lunch.  We decided on Mexican at one of my favorite neighborhood places, Senor Ric’s on Mississippi.  Delicious and didn’t bust the wallet!  With our tummies full and re-energized, we ended the day in the area of 6th and Fillmore.  We peeped in Nest Boutique, one of my favorite Denver children’s clothing boutiques.  They are currently in sale mode with their semi-annual Blue Dot sale!  See 35% off on select merchandise next week!  We strolled next door and on into Swoozie’s, a fun little shop carrying everything from pillows, candles, stationary, monogram necklaces, and Jelly Cat stuffed animals.  A great little shop to find a unique gift!  We polished off the adventurous day, with a 10 month old in tow all the while mind you, at Maggie’s Bakery for a Mint Chocolate cupcake….mmmm…  I just love getting out and exploring Denver and am intending on doing as much of it as I can leading up until the birth of baby, and you know what, even after that!  What are some of your favorite places along 6th Avenue?  Next time I will have to check out the stationary store, apothecary and more all along that row… Hope everyone has a great, warm and cozy, weekend!

P.S. Thanks to my friend for the photo capturing!
