Mad for DAM Contemporaries, and Mod Fashion

If you’ve wanted to put on a ruby pout, and clink a martini glass like an extra on the set of Mad Men, here’s your opportunity, and you don’t have to audition! Pull out your best mod attire for this Saturday’s Mad Men inspired event at the Denver Art Museum, “MAD About DAM Fundraising Party.” The event benefits the DAM Contemporaries, “a support group founded in 1978, and promotes the appreciation, enjoyment and acquisition of contemporary art for the Denver Art Museum.” DAM Contemporaries is responsible for developing programs and events that provide opportunities to meet artists, collectors, curators, critics and other art aficionados.

Schmoozing isn’t the only thing on the menu with this group, which also offers artist lectures, symposia, tours of artists’ studios as well as of private and corporate collections, art related parties, and trips to major national and international art destinations. Don Draper would have been a regular hobnobber in this circle, I’m sure. If you arrive early, 6-8, participate in the silent auction sponsored by the luxe Brown Palace Hotel and Spa, Row 14 Bistro and Wine Bar, Denver Center for the Performing Arts and more. Purchase tickets online here until midnight Friday. See below for ticket pricing. If you’re closet lacks the vintage duds needed, head to Boss Vintage, Regal Vintage, Creme de la Couture, Safari Thrift, or Buffalo Exchange.
