Weekend Fashion Events Calendar Oct. 15th-17th

There are lot’s of fun and exciting events happening this weekend that are worth mentioning!

For starters, the Junior League of Denver’s annual Holiday Mart shopping continues for the 31st time! The Holiday Mart runs all weekend, October 14th-17th, at the Denver Merchandise Mart. Tickets are available at the League’s headquarters (6300 E. Yale Ave.), at King Soopers grocery stores or online here for $8. You’re sure to find a stocking stuffer or two!

Tonight, see Denver filmmaker Coleen Hubbard’s film “The Contents of Her Purse,” at the Grant Street Theater, (216 S. Grant St). 7-10pm $20. Have I not been telling you this is a phenomenon! This fascination of what women carry in their purses and their desire to share it with others! See the trailer here. Hubbard’s film is a documentary that “focuses on purses as chronological reflections.” I can’t wait to see it! There’s everything from 5 year old girls toting Disney Princess purses to a 95 year old woman and every age in between. Who’s in with me?! See it at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings, October 15 & 16, 22 & 23, and November 5 & 6, 12 & 13. Tickets are $20.00 ($15.00 for groups of 8 or more, and $10.00 for students and seniors) and may be reserved by calling 303-388-3833.

You can also enter a drawing to win a $500 Macy’s gift card.

Also Saturday night, you can get dolled up for a Harajuko Street Fashion Party! How fun is that?! Dress like Gwen Stefani’s favorite Holla Back Girl! Event is hosted by who else, Gimme Gimme Pillow Toast! Hinterland Art Gallery at 3254 Walnut Street in Denver from 8- midnight. Sip on Ramune punch and coffee and munch on sweets while flaunting your tutu, Members Only Jacket, striped thigh highs and orange lipstick!
