Today was a perfect Sunday. Great finds at Buffalo Exchange, traded some things, then headed to TAXI off Ringsby Court and hit up the Fashion Denver fall market. I ran into Vanessa Barcus at Shop Goldyn, which happens to be in TAXI as well, said “hi,” and headed across the way to the market, arm in arm with Fashion Denver’s Brandi Shigley. Ran into Roxy Blu, my hairdresserand owner of the fabulous Rebelle salon off Tennyson, who also owns Tootsies Nail Shoppe, off Gaylord. Got a $5 mini mani with an O.P.I. in a crab, orangey-red, color. Had a blue champagne drink, courtesy of Hypnotique. Discovered a new jewelery line, Red Bench by Jackie Barr, and found an old friend, Lucky Me Beads by Whitney Phippen. I had bought a bracelet by Lucky Me Beads a few years ago, and stumbled upon a table of Phippen’s latest idea, necklaces with vintage eye glass lenses with old photos in them. Love. Bought. Both jewlers are on found on etsy, and both can be seen again, if you missed them this weekend, at the Denver Handmade Alliance’s Art by Craft Market, Saturday October 24th, from 2-8 pm, at The Other Side Arts (1644 Platte Street). I also found a new line of belt buckles and jewelery laser cut from old skateboard decks, called Mukee, they too will be at the Art by Craft Market in a couple weeks, and are also sold at Thrifty Stick skateshop on Broadway. All three designers are fairly affordable, less than $40. It was a beautiful fall Sunday in Colorado, spent in great company and uncovering new designs and scenery. I ended this perfect Sunday with a dip in our hot tub and a pefect desert of cheesecake and tea with my love. I heart Sundays. I heart Denver.
